Field Day

The ARRL Field Day is a 24-hour event held the last full weekend of June every year. It is an opportunity to practice operating under less then optimum conditions to prepare for communication during emergencies. The general objective is to contact as many other field day sites as possible in a 24-hour period. It's also a good chance to show off amateur radio to the community.
